The Danish painter Ken Zier has gradually established his name as an important international maritime artist, who is permanently affiliated with galleries in a large number of countries.
Ken Zier’s paintings are, for the most part, simple atmospheric images of the weather’s changing impact on sky and sea. Beach pictures and quiet shores of the coast, motifs painted in the backlight of the low sun’s “games” in the sea and the much sought after evening and night scenes.
Born in 1968, Ken Zier has been a professional artist since 1995. From childhood, he has been closely linked to the maritime through the family who are avid sailors and he is the grandson of Løkken painter Wolmer Zier who also had love for the sea in his motives.
