Anne Harney is a contemporary painter best known for her large-scale oyster paintings. Viewers are drawn to her soothing peaceful color palette. Paintings are influenced by the New England landscape and especially Martha’s Vineyard, where she spent a lifetime of summers. The area provides endless inspiration for the artist.
Anne is a Boston-based artist who received her BFA with Honors in painting from Massachusetts College of Art in 2011. Awards include George Nick Award, Marcia Lloyd Award, Book Award, Vermont Studio Center Artist Grant and Residency 2016,2019. Anne is a member of the National Association of Women Artists, NYC and MA, Sowa Artist Guild, and Fenway Artist Studios. Her paintings have been exhibited extensively and reside in public and private
